Whakapiki Ake
Semester Check-In

Our Semester Check-In programme provides ongoing transitioning support for Whakapiki Ake students enrolled in the Faculty of Medical Health Sciences programmes. Through both Semester 1 and Semester 2 check-ins, we ensure our tauira maintain strong connections and receive the support they need to succeed.

Semester 1 Support

During your first semester, our check-ins focus on helping you navigate university life and academic expectations. We provide academic support, cultural guidance, and opportunities to connect with fellow tauira and mentors. Regular catch-ups ensure you’re settling well into your programme and maintaining a healthy study-life balance.

Semester 2 Progress

As you progress through Semester 2, our check-ins evolve to focus on long-term success strategies. We work together to identify and address any challenges, celebrate your achievements, and strengthen your connection to the wider Whakapiki Ake whānau. Our support extends beyond academic guidance to ensure your holistic wellbeing throughout your journey.
